When you simply plug the nutrition information provided at the bottom of each recipe in the book into a freestyle calculator or the “app,” your points value may be different than mine (slightly higher). Utilizing the appropriate tools, including the recipe builder, each recipe was re-calculated taking into account the new free foods (ie all of the nutrition information for such foods must be backed out of the information provided with the recipes).

When using the recipe builder, there are often many choices for the same ingredient (reduced fat cheese or bread for example). I selected the items that exactly matched the items I used (either by name or by nutritional content). You can find more information about ingredient selection in the front section of the book.
