Breakfast in a Glass (aka Protein Rich Orange Julius!)

Breakfast in a Glass (aka Protein Rich Orange Julius!)

With just 130 calories (and 3 little “points,”) you couldn’t ask for a better quick and slim breakfast! With the great taste of an Orange Julius, just one luscious sweet glass delivers more belly-filling protein than two eggs, and over 20 percent of the daily requirement for vitamins A, C, and calcium…

If you are wary about the liquid egg substitute in the drink, there is no need to fret. First, liquid eggs are pasteurized, they are safe to consume even when not cooked, and second, while it helps make the drink hearty and healthy, I guarantee you do not taste it.

A piece of whole grain toast is a nice complement (I like mine with a bit of peanut butter :).

Ingredients
1/3 cup light orange juice
1/3 cup plain low-fat Greek yogurt
1/4 cup liquid egg substitute (like Egg Beaters)

3 tablespoons granulated no-calorie sweetener (or 4 packets)
Dash of vanilla
1/2 cup crushed ice

Instructions

1. Place all the ingredients, except the ice, in a blender. Blend to mix.
2. Add crushed ice and blend on high until the ice is completely incorporated and drink is frothy.
